Americana   |  mare   |  2010   |  chestnut   |  Zangersheide (BE)

Zoom

The beautiful chestnut mare Americana takes a lot after her grandsire Heartbreaker and has six generations of Grand Prix stallions in a row in her pedigree. She was phenomenally athletic during free jumping as a younger horse and has taken that skill with her into the ring. She started her competition career in the middle of the 2016 season and performed with the class we would expect from a mare of this calibre, winning her very first Springpferde Prufung with fantastic notes. She is now performing consistently at the National 1.15m level, but we are expecting great things from her in the future.

Her sire Aganix du Seigneur (Ogano Sitte x Chellano Z) made a very promising debut in 1.60m Grand Prix’s with Jos Lansink  in early 2015 and was rumored to be his chosen horse for Rio 2016. Unfortunately he was subsequently forced into early retirement due to an unfortunate injury. Americana is bred out of Gestut Eichenhain’s own Grand Prix showjumping mare, Oak Grove's Heartfelt, previously ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson. Grandam, Quasibelle du Seigneur (Rubens du Ri d'Asse) is the half-sister of the famous Olympic showjumping stallion London. Great-grandam is the well-known 1.60m Grand Prix mare Ta Belle van Sombeke (Chin Chin), who produced no less than five 1.60m and one 1.50m showjumpers.

This 2013 daughter of our own mare, Chantal, has astounded us all with her power and technique in loose jumping. Under saddle she has proved to be no different. She has recently started her training and has shown intelligence and a great aptitude for the sport. We have high hopes for her in the future.Sire, Corrado I, is already considered as the founder of a Holsteiner sire line of his own. He was successful at the International Grand Prix level with Franke Sloothaak and passes on his tremendous jumping ability to his offspring with high frequency. A great number of his progeny are successful at the highest international level, like Corrada, Cosima, Cosmos Star, Think Twice, Clinton and Corradina.Dam, Chantal, descends from a quality Hanoverian dam line. Her sire, Cheenook, produced offspring that succeeded in both showjumping and dressage. Among his successful showjumping progeny are the well known 1.60m horses, Cyrenaika ridden by Toni Hassmann (GER) and Cindy Crawford ridden by Piet Raijmakers (NED). He competed consistently well at the Springpferde Prufung Level up to the 1.30m and also Qualified for the Bundeschampionate in 2016 for 5yo’s. His sire Ensor van de Heffinck is, like Olympic show jumpers Cornet Obolensky and Via Volo, a product of the successful cross of the two great stallions Clinton and Heartbreaker. The licensed stallion Nouma d'Auzay (Carthago), who jumped at International 1.60m level with Franke Sloothaak, is a half-brother of Enkidu. Enkidu’s grandam is none other than the international jumping mare Via d'Auzay, who won classes at CHIO Aachen with Hervé Godignon and won the Puissance of Ancenis Atover 2.00m as a six year old! Great-grandam Kysra d'Auzay (Phoenix- Rantzau xx) also won several Grand Prix’s with Godignon. Oak Grove’s Enkidu is approved by Studbook Zangersheide and AES (Anglo European Studbook).

I’m the One is a very interesting new edition to the Eichenhain Family. This beautiful black stallion looks like he’s out of a storybook. He recently made his competition debut and already has some very nice rounds to his credit.  In September 2016, he was also licensed as a stallion by Zangersheide.

His sire, I’m Special de Muze (Emerald Van’t Ruytershof) made his 1.50m debut in 2017 with Zoï Snels (NED), proving he does justice to his pedigree as a son of the legendary CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix mare Exquis Walnut de Muze ridden by Harrie Smolders (NED), who is widely considered to be one of the best horses of modern times. Walnut’s dam, Qerly Chin, and great grandam, Kerly, both jumped at the 1.60m World Cup level.

I’m The One  is also strongly bred from dam side. Dam, Amy-Gold (Lupicor) scored several 7,5’s and 8’s for her performance test.

Grandam, Goldy (Burggraaf), produced three horses at 1,30-1.40m level and is grandam of no less than six international showjumpers including two 1.55m Grand Prix horses Vicky Gold (Andiamo) ridden by Gerco Schröder (NED) and Dakar R.S. (Berlin) ridden by David Simpson (IRL), the 1.50m  Daddy-Gold (Andiamo) ridden by Riccardo Pisani (ITA), and two 1.45m horse, Diamo-Gold (Andiamo) and Znoopy Gold V.D. (Vancouver).

It’s Me is another new edition to the Eichenhain Family. This athletic grey gelding, who has three performance Grand Prix stallions in a row in his pedigree, has  shown us a lot of talent in his early days here at the farm.

As anchor for the French team with his rider Jean Marc Nicolas, his sire, Modesto, had great rounds in the Nations Cup competitions in Rotterdam, Rome, Lissabon, Lyon and Lummen. Individually, Modesto was ridden to 2nd place at the World Cup finals and won several Grand Prix’s as well. The stallions Animo and Nimmerdor add scope and carefulness to this pedigree.

Dam, Samante, who is a full sister of the 1.35m Primeur (Animo), already produced two young, international show jumpers who perform in Greece and France. The same damline produced the 1.60m International horses Jalandria (Emilion), Phentagera B (Quidam de Revel) and Chinook (Tygo), who is also classified in CCI2* eventing. Interestingly, another CCI2* eventing horse Cecilia (Discovery) came out of this line.

Opus Magnum (ex Berlioz du Lys) is very interestingly bred. His sire Ogano Sitte  will probably be remembered as the famous stallion Darco’s most influential son. Ogano Sitte himself competed at the highest level and was known for his scope, quick reflexes and fighting spirit. He passes on these qualities to his offspring with a high level of frequency and Opus Magnum is no exception. Ogano Sitte’s dam is the Grand Prix mare Ialta Sitte (Advontuur). This large stallion has recently been started under saddle and will soon be ready to make his competition debut. He has shown a great willingness to work and impressed us with his quickness and scope, especially for such a large horse. We are very eager to see what he can do. Sire, Untouched has impeccable breeding with the 1.60m Grand Prix stallion Untouchable (Hors la Loi II) as his sire and the 1.60m Grand Prix mare Cantate Touch (Capitol I) as his dam. Untouched’s grandam Classic Touch (Caletto II) is none other than the 1992 Olympic Individual Gold Medal winner in Barcelona with Ludger Beerbaum. On the dam side, I'll Est Hors la Loi II carries the genes of the Grand Prix stallions Unaniem, Hors la Loi II and Jimtown. This family produced numerous (Inter)national showjumpers such as the 1.60m S L Slingback (Hors la Loi II) and the 1.50m Uppsala W (Andiamo). Lightning-quick reflexes and scope are what stand out the most about Oak Grove's Vogelfrei. Now competing at the International 1.40-1.45 level. He has spent the 2016 season with Rolf Goran-Bengtsson showing success in many International Competitions including Lier CSI2*, Opglabbeek CSI3* and Knokke CSI2*. Before this, however, he had great success with our own rider Harm Lahde having excellent wins and placings in Oliva Nova 2015 and qualifying two years in a row for the DKB Bundeschampionate, putting in fantastic performances both times. Zilzal is a new addition to the Gestuet Eichenhain family and we are very pleased with his performances so far. Despite starting late in the 2016 season, he produced some fantastic rounds and results on the Springpferde Circuit with numerous wins and placings already under his belt. We are looking forward to see what this special young horse can do in the future.Zilzal’s sire, Zambesi, is a son of Heartbreaker by a Calvaro Z mare, Calanda Z, who herself jumped at the International 1.45m level. Zambesi’s grandam, Alanda (Le Mexico), jumped at the International 1.60m level. The oldest offspring of Zambesi, are jumping up to the 1.45m level, and some look very promising. Zilzal’s dam, Sport Star S (Epilot), was awarded the KWPN sport mare elite status and competed at the 1.30 level. She also produced the stallion Zacantos Z (Cantos) who took part in the KWPN stallion approvals and competed at the 1.45m level with Lisa Goldman (USA). This acknowledged Zottie dam line has produced many International 1.60m showjumpers such as Vindicat (Guidam), Woklahoma (Sheraton), Maybe Forever (Feuerschein I), HBR Tennessee W (Concorde), Lottie W (Nimmerdor), Jarno W (Notaris), Wiesielottie (Rash R), Richmond R (Burggraaf), Amadeus (Guidam), and Toronto V (Concorde).
